Linux Tutorial

Linux is the OS under most servers, cloud hosts, containers, and developer toolchains. This track is for beginners and uses the command line: directories, files, packages, processes, text tools, services, and scheduled jobs. Examples follow Ubuntu / Debian (apt). Other distributions are similar.

On Windows, use WSL2, a VM, or a cloud instance.

TIP

Type commands in a real terminal. Mistakes with rm, chmod, or sudo can delete files or break access — practice in your home directory first.
