SQLite Tutorial

SQLite is a self-contained, serverless, zero-configuration, transactional SQL database engine. A complete database is usually a single cross-platform disk file — ideal for embedded, mobile, desktop, and local development use.

In this tutorial you will learn how to install SQLite, create a database file and tables, and run common CRUD statements.

Dialect tip

SQLite has no separate database server process; you open or create a .db (or any extension) file. Auto-increment keys commonly use INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, optionally with AUTOINCREMENT.
